Political Mouthwash

Some advertisers try to stay out of politics, others, however get very involved.
Scope Mouthwash not only uses political messages in their campaign, but also a bit of sexual suggestion (something else that is popular among advertisers).   The ad below uses a variety of small signals to clearly make references to the upcoming elections and conflicts between the two political parties.

Note the use of the colors red and blue, fairly equally distributed throughout the room (blue bedspread, but red walls) and in the background the Washington monument and Capital building can be seen.  These elements clearly give the ad a political feel.

Another Scope Mouthwash ad shows the same characters (Democratic and Republican Parties), floating along a river past Washington DC.

These Scope ads seem promote friendship between two typically opposing parties, which is an interesting message, not often seen in advertising.

Both pictures were taken from Scope's Facebook Page
