This video really makes me think deeply about advertisements
and their effects on our society. Companies put a lot of effort and money on
ads every year because they need those ads to catch our attention and convince
us to buy.
Ads are everywhere in our life, and it is crazy to think
about how many ads you have looked at in the past. The quantity of ads is so
huge that we are no longer bothered by them; when we see an ad, we will either
ignore it or be persuaded by it.
Just like the video points out, ads are not going to be 100
percent truthful, and they are always glorifying their products, since the main
purpose of an ad is to get you to buy the product. Not only are ads not
trustful, but also are they sometimes incorporating stereotypes and negative
messages. And since ads are so common, we really need to think about what
negative influences are ads bringing to our society.
